Dr. Lee Gross Joins Board of United States Medical Association

Dr. Lee Gross, founder of Epiphany Health Direct Primary Care and President of Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation and a consultant to the White House and several federal departments, has joined the Board of the United States Medical Association.

“We are thrilled to have such a prominent physician with national experience in innovative care on the Board of the United States Medical Association,” said Dr. Julio Gonzalez, Chairman and President of the USMA.

Dr. Gross is a pioneer in the Direct Primary Care delivery model, frequently speaking at national  meetings, conducting media interviews about free-market health care innovations and writing  articles for national publications. He is a health care consultant to physician practices, medical  organizations, insurance groups, hospitals and private businesses.

He is regularly consulted by lawmakers and policy leaders around the nation, including formal testimony before the United States Senate and consultation with leadership at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, the Department of Treasury and the White House.

“I see the United States Medical Association as an essential element in protecting the sanctity of the physician-patient relationship and righting our health care system,” Dr. Gross said. “I’m honored to be asked to be on the Board.”

He serves as the president of the Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation, a national health policy think  tank of practicing physicians committed to the establishment of an American health care  economy which preserves the sanctity of the physician-patient relationship, promotes quality  care, supports affordable access to care for all Americans and protects patient’s personal health  care decisions.

Dr. Gross serves on the Board of Trustees of an HCA Hospital and as a Delegate to the Florida  Medical Association. He is President of his county Medical Society. He is appointed to the FMA  Council on Medical Economics and Practice Innovation. Dr. Gross is a recipient of HCA’s Frist  Humanitarian award. He has received the Free Market Medical Association’s Beacon Award for  his leadership in healthcare market reforms.

The United States Medical Association is a group of physicians and others who have seen firsthand the shifting medical landscape and the lack of any real representation — often time even representation working against our interests by major organizations that are supposed to be watching out for us — such as the AMA. Those organizations are not watching out for physicians, but the USMA will.

To get involved with and support the USMA, visit us at www.usmedicalassociation.org, sign up for our emails and newsletters, or contact us at info@usmedicalassociation.org or by calling (941) 441-0310.

Remember, the USMA will be the House that Doctors Built, and it will not become a reality without your help. Please visit the United States Medical Association website and consider making a contribution $500, $1,000, or $5,000 to help build this sorely needed organization.

With your help, the USMA has no choice but to succeed. All we need to do is share in carrying the load. Please consider contributing. We look forward to quickly becoming your go-to organization in support of your profession.
